SK St. John 1 (morning session) and SK St. John 2 (afternoon session) merged into one session (morning session), from 20 January 2021 onwards. The school is now known as SK St John 1. This partially aided school had its land lease extended for 60 years (2019 -2079) and require upgrade and refurbishment of its school facilities and buildings.
TCC assisted to transform the school with SHARP Education Solution smartboards to enhance the learning and teaching experiences for both students and teachers. A total of 18 units were provided to school, of which 12 units were placed in Standard 1 till Standard 3 classrooms, and the remaining 6 units were placed in special classrooms for Standard 4 till Standard 6. Each smartboard unit consists of a 70” 4K Aquos Touch smartboard with a mini PC. Additional accessories such as a mobile stand, an interactive whiteboard pen, an e-share pro license, and cabling have also been provided.
In addition, TCC provided 450 units of student tables and chairs for Standard 4 till Standard 6 students, and 37 sets of stainless steel canteen tables and benches as the existing units are worn out.
TCC assisted to upgrade the school’s canteen, toilets and electrical works to provide a more comfortable environment for the students.
