Use of Your Information

In general, you can visit this Site without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. However, certain features or functions on this Site may require or permit you to provide or submit personal information for certain purposes. It is our policy to limit the personal information collected to only personal information required to achieve the purpose for which you have submitted the personal information.   1. Employment or Volunteering Opportunity

    As we also use this Site as a recruiting tool, if you provide personal information to us with respect to employment or volunteering opportunity, we will treat such personal information as confidential and use it only to consider you for current and future employment or volunteering opportunities and to contact you with respect to employment or volunteering with us or our affiliate.  We will retain your information for further recruitment or volunteering opportunities that may arise, unless you tell us that you no longer wish for us to retain your information.

  2. Online Donation

    If you wish to make a donation to TCC on this Site, you will be asked to disclose your full name, birth date (for age verification) , mailing address, email address, and credit card information (card type, card number, expiry date)and we will use such information to process your donation and communicate with you regarding your donation (eg, sending you confirmation of receipt via mail or email, informing you via mail or email about projects and programs funded with your donation, etc.). For so long as donations made by you shall be exempted from tax, we will also pass your information to the inland revenue of Malaysia for such purpose. By making a donation on this Site, you authorize us to store and maintain your personal information as disclosed by you (except for your credit card information which will only be used for a single transaction and will not be retained thereafter) as part of our donor records.

  3. Electronic Mailing List

    If you wish to join our electronic mailing list, you will be asked to provide your email address, and we will use such email to send you electronic newsletters, publications, announcements, notices, and other communications from TCC (subject to you right to unsubscribe to the mailing list at any time as described below)

  4. Email contacts

    If you make an enquiry or request to us via email, we will collect and use your email address to communicate with you regarding your enquiry or request. Also, by contacting us via email, you will automatically be entered onto our electronic mailing list (subject to your right to unsubscribe to the mailing list at any timeq as described below)

TCC’s intention is not to seek any sensitive information such as information relating to health or religion through this Site unless required for recruiting purpose. If you wish to provide sensitive information for any reason, we require your explicit consent to use that information in the ways described in this Policy.

Personal information will be used for only those purposes to which the individual has consented with the exceptions as permitted under existing laws (including any personal data protection legislation, if applicable). Subject to applicable law, we reserve the right to make all lawful use of personal information, including without limitation to: collect, use, access, process, fulfill, disclose, respond to legal process or otherwise exercise our rights under applicable law, transfer, store, retain, investigate, verify, prove, enforce, delete, and otherwise deal with all information (including personal information), to the extent as set out herein.
