SJK(C) Che Hwa Kolombong is a new partially aided school. The school was relocated from Beaufort to Kota Kinabalu due to low student enrolment in Beaufort and transfer was approved by Ministry of Education Malaysia in 2004. The land for new school of 2.759 hectares is donated by Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. School commenced with Phase 1 project, TCC cover the fund of the construction of one block of 4 Storey New School Building comprising of 18 classrooms, activity rooms and canteen.
