SJKC Pay Fong 1 was established in 1913 in its old premise located at Jalan Kubu, Melaka. However, due to low enrolment, the school was re-located in 2012 from Jalan Kubu, Melaka to its current location in Taman Krubong Jaya.
The school had 2 blocks of school buildings in Taman Krubong Jaya. In 2012, total enrolment was 158 students. Due to increasing number of new townships established within school vicinity, the total student enrolment increased considerably to 700 in 2018.
The school did not have sufficient academic classrooms to cater to the increasing number of students. As such, the school decided to expand and build additional 3 blocks of school buildings, comprising of one block of 3-storey Classroom building, one block of 3-storey Academic building and one Multi-purpose Hall.
The school obtained its Certificate of Completion and Compliance (“CCC”)in December 2016 for these 3 new school buildings. TCC provided funding towards the construction of these new buildings and the one block of 3-storey Academic building was named “The Community Chest Building”.
