This missionary school was established in 1872 and is presently located in the heritage zone. The school was facing shortage of floor spaces due to increasing enrolment.
In view of this, the school decided to demolish an existing single-storey school building and constructed a new block of 3- storey building. The new building named “The Community Chest Academic Building” was completed in December 2016 with facilities for administration office, teachers’ room, library and computer room as well as a Multi-Purpose hall located on the ground floor.
Another building, “The Community Chest Academic Building (Extension Block)” comprising of 6 classrooms in one block of 2-storey building, was completed in December 2023.
TCC funded the construction, of both the school buildings, to ensure the school is equipped to accommodate the increasing student enrolment.
