SJK(C) Yak Chee has a total of 4 blocks of Classroom buildings. Block A Classroom building was built and completed in 1986 and the asbestos roofing in this block has warped and the gutter has worn off causing damage to the roof.

TCC assisted to dismantle the existing asbestos roof and gutter. Presently, Block A 2-storey Classroom building has a new metal deck roofing including double sided aluminium foil for heat resistant and stainless steel gutter.
